Advancing Fundraising Excellence
Fundraising training builds organizational muscle—especially when it reaches beyond the boundaries of the development department.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked with organizations to broaden the number of staff who know how to build relationships, cultivate and steward donors, and ask for money. Participatory workshops create a shared understanding of how fundraising really works. They demystify how to engage with donors and provide a roadmap for a close partnership between program and development staff. Ongoing one-on-one coaching creates a safe space for program staff to dive deeply into individual fundraising opportunities and challenges.
When program leaders and fundraisers collaborate effectively, organizations will raise more money: a culture of philanthropy takes hold. And providing fundraising skill-building for program staff is a professional development opportunity that supports staff retention as well.
